National Contribution Award Honorees
This year the Caribbean Gospel Marlin Awards will bestow the National Contribution Award on the following five (5) Bahamians for their invaluable contribution towards the advancement & development of Bahamian and Caribbean Gospel Music.
Be Be & Ce Ce Winans, Canton Jones & Israel Nominated for 2010 Marlin Awards
Grammy Award winners Be Be & Ce Ce Winans have been nominated for their first Caribbean Gospel Music Marlin Award. The platinum selling Gospel R&B duo who recently reunited after a fifteen (15) year hiatus to record and release their latest CD “Still”, have been nominated in the category of International Caribbean Recording of the Year for their reggae infused single “He Can Handle It”.
Marlin Awards Weekend 2010 October 28-30-Nassau, Bahamas Together As One
Join us in the Bahamas for Marlin Awards Weekend 2010 October 28-30 under the theme “Together As One”. Recording artists, songwriters, producers, radio personalities, retailers, media and other industry professionals throughout the Caribbean, Canada and the Unites States will come together for a weekend of music, fellowship, ministry and networking.
Marlin Awards Set to Release “Marlin Nominee 2010 CD”
Building on the success of its first nominee album release, “Marlin Awards 2008 Nominee CD”, the Executive Board of the Marlin Awards is announcing plans to release the second project of its kind, “Marlin Awards 2010 Nominee CD”. The album will feature some of the top gospel songs released between 2009 and 2010.
Marlin Awards Release First Theme Song
The 2010 Marlin Awards weekend of events will be hosted under the theme “Together as One” and to help promote and celebrate this year’s highly anticipated series of events, a special theme song has already been written and recorded. This will mark the first time in its fourteen (14) year history that the Marlin Awards will release an official theme song.

Bahamian sound engineer Clarence "Nat" Williams and musician Lavard Curtis died in a plane crash in the Bahamas on October 5th. Both men will be honored during the 2010 Caribbean Gospel Marlin Awards on Saturday October 30th along with three (3) other well deserving Bahamians for their contributions towards the advancement of Bahamian and Caribbean Gospel Music.
